About the GXW4224 V2 24-Port FXS VoIP Gateway
The Grandstream GXW4224 V2 is a high-density analog VoIP gateway with 24 FXS ports. Each port takes an ordinary analog telephone or fax machine and turns it into an extension on your SIP IP PBX, so you can keep existing room or desk phones and the cabling to them while moving the phone system to VoIP.
Hotels use it to connect old analog room phones to a new IP PBX such as the Grandstream UCM6300 series; offices and hostels use it for analog desk phones, fax machines and door phones. It connects to the network over Gigabit Ethernet and registers each port as a SIP account.
Good for
- ✓Hotels keeping analog room phones with a new IP PBX
- ✓Offices with analog phones and fax
- ✓Hostels, hospitals and campuses
Consider something else if: For connecting existing landlines (not phones) you need FXO ports; for just a few analog phones a small 2- or 4-port adapter is cheaper.
